About the ISSVA
Biennial international workshops on Vascular Anomalies were initiated in 1976 in Boston by Drs. John Mulliken and Anthony Young. These meetings led to the establishment of The International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies (ISSVA) in 1992. ISSVA has been instrumental in disseminating knowledge and experience among specialists from many medical disciplines.
About the 2008 Conference
The 4 day meeting will include state of the art lectures, original papers, panel discussions, video demonstrations and an opportunity to interact with specialists from around the globe.
Topics will include clinical and basic research in the diagnosis and management of vascular anomalies, as well as the psychosocial challenges faced by these patients. .
A Primer Course will be given the day preceding the Workshop to serve as an introduction to the field. The Course will cover the classification, natural history, imaging and therapy of vascular anomalies including hemangiomas and vascular malformations. |
